Port of Seattle Terminal 117

Site habitat restoration

A goal of the T-117 removal action is to cleanup the site in a manner that leaves it suitable for a range of final site uses within the Port owned portions of the T-117 Early Action Area (includes both upland and aquatic). An evaluation of post-cleanup, final site use options is currently underway by the Port and may be ready for implementation immediately following the completion of the removal action, or at a later date after the removal action has been completed. The Port is evaluating habitat site restoration in coordination with the stakeholder agencies known as the Natural Resource Damage (NRD) Trustees. The following links provide additional details on T-117 habitat restoration developments:

  • April 14th, 2008 - Memorandum request for the Port Commission to: 1) sign an agreement with NRD Trustees related to crediting habitat restoration projects in the LDW; and 2) authorize design and permitting services to build fish and wildlife habitat at T-117. • May 13th, 2008 - Port Commission approves the habitat Commission Memorandum issued on April 14, 2008 (see above). View the video of the Port Commission meeting
